A message from Rebecca Dearden (SDDU) regarding the old Adobe Connect web conferencing system and any recording that users might still have on the system. With the university investing in university-wide licence of Blackboard Collaborate the current licence for Adobe connect will not be renewed and so come to an end on the 13th of July. Any recording that individuals have on the Connect system need to download them before this date.

We are contacting you as someone we have on our database as a current licence holder or user of Adobe Connect as an interactive classroom solution.
We wrote to you in September 2015 advising that the University has invested in Blackboard Collaborate as an institutional web-conferencing tool and that Adobe Connect will continue to be available to current users until the end of the current licence on 13 July 2016.
Collaborate is now available to use through all module and organisations in the VLE. It will also be available as a stand-alone web service from 8 June 2016 supported by IT.

To support your use in the VLE the VLES has produced some staff guidance on the use of Collaborate in the VLE http://www.leeds.ac.uk/vle/staff/collab/collaborate/.
To access and use Collaborate as a stand-alone web service, IT guidance will be available on http://it.leeds.ac.uk/info/168/software_application_pages/937/blackboard_collaborate shortly.
You are enrolled on a training organisation in the VLE (Collaborate Training) with information and support for your use of Blackboard Collaborate, including detailed guides as to use.
